Video Tutorials on Quantum Photonic Experiments

On a video platform, we are hosting a series of high-quality educational content covering many aspects of quantum phenomena. The particular focus is pointed towards quantum effects that can be demonstrated in a laboratory. Students and professionals find videos explaining the components as well as the setup of several experiments ranging from the wave-particle duality of photons to magnetic field sensing using a nitrogen vacancy in a diamond. We also provide preparatory material in the form of short introductory lecture videos and thoroughly written descriptions to every experiment.

Main contents are:

  • Wave-Particle Duality of Photons
  • Hong-Ou-Mandel Interference
  • CHSH Inequality
  • Spontaneous Parametric Downconversion
  • Quantum Random Number Generation
  • Quantum Sensing with NV Centers

The shown setups are commercially available from the company qutools, and they can also be operated on-site in Jena.
